Florida post-Thanksgiving boxing

We're down in FL to spend Thanksgiving with my mom and we spent Black Friday looking for a new series in the Plant City area. We've done some boxing in different parts of FL over the past several years and try to find some that are on a decent walk rather than a "drive-by". We were therefore very happy to discover the "Hammered" series on a 4-mile hike. To make it even better, the planter (NotMyCircus) wrote some amusing clues about a drunk named Rowdy and the stamps were clever and well-carved images of whiskey bottles. And guess what the first finder prize was...

Today we headed over to the Orlando area to visit a cousin and noticed that our Illinois friends Lock, Shock & Barrel had planted a box there. It was on a 3-mile hike in a very peaceful preserve and, as usual for these boxers, the carving was excellent. However we were quite surprised that we were the first to visit "Tink", since she was planted 2.5 years ago! Florida hiking is quite easy since it is so flat, so it's a shame more people don't get out on the trails to find (or plant).

We are thankful that there are still some planters that continue to incorporate the HIKE component of a letterbox. These are always the boxes that we put at the top of our list when traveling.

You guys sure do get around!  We're hoping to get to Florida after Christmas and I plan on doing some boxing down there, mostly on the west coast.  It is surprising that many boxes go a long time down there without any finds.  I've enjoyed all the hikes I've done down there so far.
